Research 01 Effects of Oral Hyaluronic Acid Intake on Skin Hydration and Transepidermal Water Loss 3 months
Objective

To evaluate the effect of two doses of hyaluronic acid on skin hydration and reduction of TEWL (transepidermal water loss) with oral administration.

Duration

3 months

Participants

150 volunteers (women and men, 18–60 years), SH60, SH120 and placebo groups

Parameters
  • Hydration (Corneometer)
  • TEWL (Tewameter)
Effects of Oral Hyaluronic Acid Intake on Skin Hydration and Transepidermal Water Loss
Actual results

After 3 months, cheek skin hydration in the 60 mg group was 9.1% higher than in the placebo group, forehead — 8.7% higher. Transepidermal water loss decreased significantly versus placebo — the skin barrier function was strengthened.

Research 02 Effect of oral hyaluronic acid on skin structure, wrinkles and dermal collagen 3 months
Objective

To investigate the effect of daily hyaluronic acid intake on wrinkle depth, dermal collagen level and natural moisturising factor (NMF) content in the stratum corneum.

Duration

3 months

Participants

150 volunteers (women and men, 18–60 years), SH60, SH120 and placebo groups

Parameters
  • Wrinkle depth (Primos 3D)
  • Collagen — dermal density (Ultrascan)
  • NMF (tape stripping, UHPLC-MS/MS)
Effect of oral hyaluronic acid on skin structure, wrinkles and dermal collagen
Actual results

Periorbital wrinkle depth in the 60 mg group decreased significantly versus placebo as early as one month into supplementation.

Research 03 Comprehensive Skin Improvement Following Nutrihyl® Intake: A Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Study 3 months
Objective

To assess the overall effect of daily Nutrihyl® intake on the skin: sebum, redness and participants’ perception of changes in skin condition.

Duration

3 months

Participants

150 volunteers (women and men, 18–60 years), SH60, SH120 and placebo groups

Parameters
  • Sebum (Sebumeter)
  • Redness (VisiaCR)
  • Questionnaires: hydration, oiliness, wrinkles, sensitivity
Comprehensive Skin Improvement Following Nutrihyl® Intake: A Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Study
Actual results

In questionnaires, participants in the 60 mg group rated their skin as less oily and with slightly fewer and shallower wrinkles than the placebo group.

Research 04 Oral Hyaluronic Acid: improving skin hydration, reducing wrinkles and increasing elasticity 40 days
Objective

To evaluate the efficacy of daily oral administration of biotechnologically produced hyaluronic acid (approx. 1 MDa) in combination with biotin, vitamin C, zinc, copper, and silicon on skin condition in middle-aged women.

Duration

40 days

Participants

20 women aged 45–60, open-label study without a placebo group

Parameters
  • Skin elasticity
  • Surface roughness
  • Condition of hair and nails
Oral Hyaluronic Acid: improving skin hydration, reducing wrinkles and increasing elasticity
Actual results

Already after 20 days, a statistically significant improvement in all main parameters was recorded: skin hydration increased by 21.6% (to 24.4% at day 40), elasticity rose by 8.6% (to 13.3%), roughness decreased by 12.7% (to 16.9%), and wrinkle depth was reduced by 26.4% over 40 days (measured in 6 participants). About 50% of participants reported improved hair and nails. No side effects were recorded.

Research 05 High molecular weight hyaluronic acid: improves skin hydration, tone, and texture 12 weeks
Objective

Evaluate the efficacy of daily oral administration of hyaluronic acid with a molecular weight of 300 kDa at different doses (100 mg and 200 mg per day) on skin condition in women of various ages and skin types.

Duration

12 weeks

Participants

129 women (61 aged 18–35, 67 aged 45–65), dry, normal or oily skin

Parameters
  • Evenness of tone
  • Epidermal thickness
  • Wrinkle photoanalysis
  • Overall skin condition
High molecular weight hyaluronic acid: improves skin hydration, tone, and texture
Actual results

Within 2–8 weeks, skin hydration increased significantly compared with baseline in both the younger and the older group. Skin tone improved (less yellowness) after 4–8 weeks, and epidermal thickness increased after 12 weeks.
